Tennessee, Tennessee, there ain't no place I'd rather be...

Well, we're back! It's hard to get back to reality after 4 days of sun, lake, swimming, boozing, and relaxing. We had a really good time. Thank you Margie and Wayne for everything! We got in late Wed. night. Thursday we went out on the boat and swam, then boated to a restaurant called Calhoun's for supper. Friday we had a little get-together on Margie and Wayne's patio so we could meet all their friends at Rarity Bay. Sat and Sunday we went on the boat again, swam, and tubed one day. We're getting too old for tubing - we were so sore for the next 3 days! That lake is wonderful to swim in - it's warm but not too warm, it's clean, and there's barely any traffic! It was in the upper 80s, low 90s while we were there, and very humid, but that's tolerable when you're on the water. Here are some pics:

We got back Monday morning and were pretty much lazy all day (well, I did some shopping). We picked the pup up from Dog Day Getaway later that evening. 5 full days there and he was wiped. Here's a pic of the tired pup Monday evening.

That place is the bomb and he loves it; he's out with all the other dogs for 14 hours/day. Plus, they have webcams so you can check in on your dog on the internet!

This weekend we are going to be super lazy and we're really looking forward to it. It seems like we've had so much going on lately, we're ready to just veg. I also have a bottle of champagne that's calling my name ;)

Off to Tennessee

Hello everyone! Just wanted to post and let you know that Justin and I are flying down the TN tomorrow to visit his parents. Sounds like it will be hot, but that's great for being on the lake! We'll probably do some swimming and tubing. We always have a good time down there, so we're looking forward to our vacation! The few days off of work will be nice too ;)

Got the windows of my car tinted. Looks pretty sweet. They did a great job. I'll take some pics later and post them - prob when I get back.

Went to the MN State Fair with my friend Sam tonight. I am not all that interested in much of the shopping, although I did get a cool ceramic turtle there (again, I'll post a pic later). I mostly go for the food! Last year, we had deep fried pickles, deep fried cheese curds, Sweet Martha choc. chip cookies, and I had a deep fried Milky Way. See the theme there? Sad. Anyway, this year I wanted to try some new stuff. Here's what I had: curly fries with chili and cheese, cheese curds (couldn't pass those up), a funnel cake, and choc. covered cheesecake on a stick (cuz everything there is 'on a stick'). Now I have some serious gut rot, but you know, you only get to eat stuff like that once a year, so it was enjoyable. Holy crap a lot of people go to the fair.

And I want to wish a Happy Golden Birthday to my bff Melissa! We hung out this past weekend in Fargo and had a good time drinking in the hotel room and then playing some Big Buck Hunter at OC :) Hope you had/have a great b-day and I love you!

I'll post some pics of Tenn when I get back too. I hope everyone has fun working while I vacay!

My New Baby!!

Guess what, everyone?!?!? I got a NEW CAR on Monday night! Woohoo! It is a 2008 Honda Accord EX, mystic green metallic. It's a sweet a** ride, so smooth. I've never had a new car, so this is awesome! It's wonderful. Here are some pics:

We also got a new vacuum cleaner, a Dyson, it the DC18 slim. It's pretty sweet. Check out Justin's blog to see what the Dyson pulled out of our seemingly clean carpet. Yuck!! It's not the 'ball' but it has the same movements as it. Pretty sweet.

Went to Valley Fair last weekend with some girls from work. We had a great time and I realized two things: 1) I love roller coasters and 2) I am a screamer on scary rides. We only live about 15 mins from VF, so that's cool. It's not Justin's kind of thing, so any of you want to come on down and go to VF, I'm up for it!!

We're heading to Tenn at the end of this month to visit Justin's parents. I'm excited to get down there to see them and hang out on the lake in the Tennessee summer.

Here's a few shots of Bear sleeping in the Element on the way back from the lake after the family reunion. I'm mad, I didn't take any pics at the lake. I guess I just forgot. But we had a really good time, and so did the dog. It was his first time on a sandbar and lake; he loved it!

I had a good birthday, pretty mellow, that's how I like it. Justin and I had a really nice dinner at a place called Woolley's in Bloomington. It's a really nice place. Best bread I've ever had; I think I ate like 5 or 6 pieces! Justin got me a slanket, and if you don't know what it is, google it. It's totally my type of gift - I love it. I believe it was created with me in mind. And my BFF Mel got me one of those edible arrangements! I've always seen them on tv and thought they were cool, and now I got one. You know how it is when the UPS truck or flower truck pulls up to your neighbors house and you're watching out your window, jealouse cuz they're getting something? Well, I was that neighbor this time. I secretly hoped that my neighbors were watching our their windows when the Edible Arrangements van pulled up to my house. Yay me! Thanks Mel. Oh, here are pics. Fruit was delicious and fresh and the choc. covered strawberries were great.

So that's an update for now. A lot of info packed into this one post. I hope you all enjoy it. This weekend we're heading to good ol' GF for a night and then to a friend's cabin in northern MN for their wedding reception. Should be a good time.

Off to the Lake

Hello everyone! I can see my puppy blog went over about as well as a fart in church. All that time posting pics and the only ones that cared were B and Erin. Thanks girlies!

Well, I just wanted to post to let you all know that we're off the the lake this weekend for the annual Price Family reunion. Although I'm sure most of you that read this are going to be there too, but oh well. Sounds like it will be a nice weekend, hope the weather holds out cuz we're tenting it!

You should all check out Justin's blog, there's a link to it on my blog. We had a nasty storm come through here last Thursday and we had some flooding and lots of uprooted trees around our neighborhood. Luckily nothing happened to our house, but I took some photos when I took Bear on our usual walk. What a mess. The ones I posted below I took after Justin posted those, so they are diff than the ones on his blog. Clean up around here has been a slow process and everyday since the storm on our Bear walks we see people just trying to clean up their yards. I had never seen a sky like there was during that storm, it was like night in the middle of the day, a dark, eerie green color.

Went tubing with my friend Sam last weekend on Cannon River in Welch, MN. We had a blast! But I got sunburnt. You'd think for as many times as I've sunburned, I would have learned my lesson. Apparently not. Now I'm all bubbly on my stomach and chest, tiny little blisters all over. Awesome. And I'll be out in the sun at the lake this weekend. Should be interesting.

Today I was getting ready to take Bear for a walk and I decided to put one of my tank tops on him. He looked so cute, I had to snap some pics!! So enjoy.
