Happy Halloween!

Hello folks! Happy Halloween to all! We had a pretty uneventful one here. Not many trick-or-treaters, definitely less than last year. And if you're friends with Justin on Facebook, then I'm sure you've seen how we felt about this year's turnout. Anyway, I'm gonna post a few pics from our holiday at home.
This lasted about 3 seconds...
...just long enough for me to take pics.
2/3 of a family
Tuckered out after a long night of action at the front door.

Okay, so now what I want you to do is when you post a comment, I want you to tell me what your favorite scary/horror movie is and your favorite scene from that show. I'll start.

My favorite horror movie is The Shining. It's hard though, cuz I really love The Exorcist too. But I'd have to say my favorite scene from The Shining is, well I have two. The first is when Danny meets the twin girls in the hallway and the blood comes pouring in. And the second is the classic scene when Jack Nicholson hacks his way into the bathroom after Danny, sticks his head in and says, "Here's Johnny!" Pretty predictable, but hey, how can you not love those scenes?

Ok, go. I wanna hear your stories, peeps. I know I can count on two people to comment for sure - B-dog and E-dog. They both loooove scary movies like I do!

Happy Halloween/Daylight Savings Time!

And to me, November means winter, so I guess, Hello Winter!

The Exorcist is probably the greatest horror movie of all time, but it is diffult to come up with a favorite scene.

My favorite scene in a horror movie has to be the ending of "Carrie" where her had reaches up from her grave to grab Sue.

My fave scary movie? This is tough. I could go with "A Nightmare on Elm Street" for nostalgic reasons, but no. I could go with "The Exorcist" because it was the scariest movie I've ever seen, but no. I could go with "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" because it's the only movie that's actually made me feel like I had to shower after watching it, but no.

I have to do it: "The Shining" - the scene when Shelly Duvall comes across Nicholson's "novel" - all his "work" that she kept interrupting all the time. "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy..." over and over again. She looks so terrified, and you realize how frickin' crazy he's been going, and we don't know HOW LONG he's been going frickin' crazy....it's so stressful. =)

Dan - although I've never been a huge fan of Carrie, you gotta love that scene. And thanks for commenting! Hope school is going well.

Mfsil - yes, the Exorcist for its sheer creepiness and being truly scary, not just 'jump out and grab you' scary. The scene where they're running through the fields in TCM scared the bejebbers outta me. Hmm, and Freddy coming up through the bed? No one should be scared of their own bed! All legitimate. But I totally agree with your Shining scene - that ellicited the 'my stomach just fell to the floor' feeling.

Lol, Erin - felt like you had to take a shower after watching TCM.

Sorry it has taken me awhile. I also think the first "Nightmare on Elm Street" was quite scary and gave me many nightmares...yes, the claw coming through the bed.
And we talked about this but "Poltergeist", the scene in the room when it's storming outside and the whole clown thing and the tree, yeah you know what I'm talking about! Creepy!

Oh yes, B! I almost forgot about the branch of the tree on the window part! That is creepy. And of course the clown. Man I hate clowns, thanks to that movie and It.

If you hate clowns (like me) and are in the mood to torture yourself, I suggest renting the film "The Clown at Midnight" - it's a pretty bad horror movie from the late '90s, but if you're scared of clowns, it works. =)
